AMY SMITH: Video Editor
Background:
I
recently completed assisting on the final cut of a feature film
called “The
Skeptic”, written and directed by Tennyson Bardwell, starring Tim
Daly, Tom Arnold, and Zoe Saldana. The film has been submitted
to various film festivals and we are waiting on the results.
Since completing that project I have been freelancing various
independent projects.
In 2005 I worked as an Assistant Editor, at City Light Media in New York, NY. My responsibilities there involve
everything from creating assemble edits and rough cuts for episodic television programming, to digitizing and organizing
footage. I also apprenticed on a few productions that involved creating visual effects and color corrections on
the HD Nitris System and the Avid Symphony.
My educational background includes a degree in Digital Video Editing at The International Academy of Design and
Technology in Toronto, ON. Prior to that experience I was involved in several independent film and theater productions.
Please visit my Film/Theater Page for a complete list of work. While experimenting in various film roles I worked
as a Physical Therapist...had to pay the bills! I am a New York State licensed Physical Therapist with my Bachelor
of Science from Russell Sage College in Troy, NY. |
